Time Management

Time management within Active Directory is critical as any skewing of more than five minutes (by default) will cause clients to stop communicating with Active Directory.

In these series of articles, we cover configuring our DCs to synchronize via the NTP Pool Project to ensure accurate timekeeping.

Additionally, we’ll also configure our clients to synchronize via a Domain Controller (as is default) but fallback to NTP if unavailable. This ensures continued accurate timekeeping even when the DCs are not available as could be the case if working remotely.
